Charity of the year 2018
Charity of the Year 2018
Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre are very excited and pleased to announce that our chosen charity we will be supporting in 2018 is Help Harry Help Others Cancer Charity.
Our aim for this year is to raise £2000 through various centre activities and events to help them continue the fantastic work they do in the local community. Help Harry Help Others is a small charity that was started by Harry Moseley before he lost his battle with cancer in 2011 aged just 11. Harry's Mum Georgie continued with Harry's incredible work and they now support the local Cancer Community by offering immediacy and empathy and focus on everything outside of treatment.
The charity was started in Chelmsley Wood namely through Harry selling his bracelet outside Asda.
“Toward the end of last year, we asked local charities to email us nominating themselves to be our Charity of the Year for 2018. We had over 20 applications from various wonderful charities.
The team met with Georgie just before Christmas. She is a wonderful lady who works non-stop to keep her son’s charity going and the determination and passion that she has is inspiring. Harry would be very proud of her and Chelmsley Wood Shopping Centre is very excited to be working closely with the team in 2018.”
